Registration Kennelclub Belge
As the KMSH registered the bouviers at first only as bouvier des roulers, the KCB started to register under the name bouvier Belge. This was a total name for all bouvier varieties. In figure 1 we see the registration form of Filou de Turnhout, born January 15 1910. However registered as bouvier Belge LOB 4864 at KCB she was also registered as bouvier des roulers LOSH 9569 by KMSH studbook, and on the back of her KCB registration is also written Filou, bouvier Belge, dit de roulers. "dit" is French for: also known as.
However the coat colour was a big point of discussion, the main difference between the bouvier des roulers and the bouvier des Flanders, where the dogs they originated from at first, and where the KCB kept the varieties separate like the Belgian shepherd (malinois, groenendael, tervuren and lakenois), the KMSH tried to mix them together in one breed.
and where
the Belgian shepherds are one breed with different coat structures , the
bouviers where in fact two breeds (the roulers originating from matincrossings)
Filou de
Turnhout was without a doubt a pure roulers dog , since she was closely inbred
on PIC DE ROULERS , >From who we can see on the registration form , was owed by
Moerman and who we can basically call the foundation dog of the bouvier des
roulers .
Later
on the registration at KCB changed from bouvier Belge into two different dogs
Bouvier des Flanders and Bouvier des Roulers.
In figure
2 we see the registration form of Mira du Genie LOB 11966 born on July 12 1922,
and from this registration form we can learn a lot.
We see
that she is registered as Bouvier des Flanders and her coat colour is FAUVE, and
also she was entered in RSH books as Diguette RSH21360
RSH
stands for Register Saint Hubert, and a dog without pedigree, who wanted to
enter a trail, had to register in RSH
Registration form of
Mira du
Genie
This
happened quite frequently in Belgian history, and doesn’t make researching
easier, for some dogs where entered in different studbooks under the same name,
where others used a different name, for different reasons.
So two
different dogs in different studbooks could in fact be the same dog
registration of Siki
In figure 4 we see the
registration form of Siki des Salvias, and as you can see there are no known
parents, but the dog is entered at the books under;
"Expertise Robberfroid meaning
qualified by a judge(in this case Robberfroid) to enter this dog in the
studbooks , without known parents". This could be done at a
show or at appointment, and still is done today at Kennel Club Belge
Finally
in figure 5 we see the registration form of Bouvier des Roulers; Sardie
D´Ossendrecht, born december 13 1927 colour NOIR.
Interesting to see is that the mother is a Dutch bred bitch, Pola van Arnwald.
Note
under the registration number is written; Ned. Bouvierclub Eindhoven.
This is
interesting because, however only 25 kilometres from the city of Antwerp, the
city of Ossendrecht (being the kennel name) is actually in the Netherlands.
Registration form of
Sardie
D´Ossendrecht
This means, that this is a Dutch breeder, who chose to have his dogs registered
in Belgium, by the Kennel Club, who is not recognized by FCI.
